I love these 8 inch parchment circles. I decided recently to take the Wilton decorating courses and they recommend you make 8 inch cakes. My instructor uses and suggests the students use an 8 x 3 inch pan, which will generally hold an entire cake mix (it makes a tall cake you then split in half and fill) for all the cakes we baked. Even though I greased the pan throughly my first cake stuck. I cut a parchment lining for my second cake and it came out beautifully. I hated cutting the rounds by hand so I went searching for a pre-cut circle and found these. They are exactly eight inches in diameter and go up the sides of my my pan a tiny bit, but it doesnt affect the shape of the cake top. Be sure to apply your flour/grease mixture under and on top of the parchement circle as well as the sides of the pan. Thanks for a great and economical alternative to hand cutting parchment rounds!

I always cut my own parchment circles, & I was annoyed by the waste so I added these products in 8" & 9" sizes to my baking repertoire. They do come in very handy and eliminate the waste. I didn't give them 5 stars since they ARE SLIGHTLY LARGER than stated, more like 9-1/4", which causes them to go up the side of the pan. However, it DOES NOT effect the finished product, so it does do the job. BTW....for those who are new to parchment....you do need to grease BEFORE AND AFTER inserting the circles. Parchment will stick to your cake, but the benefit is that the cake will come out in one piece rather then break in pieces. Greasing both the top/bottom helps it peel off the finished cake.
